Dust can cut generation by 15–25%. Here is a simple maintenance routine that keeps your plant at peak output.
- Clean every 2–4 weeks in March–June with plain water and a soft mop. Early morning is best (cool glass).
- Never use detergents or hard water jets — they leave film and can crack glass with thermal shock.
- Check the inverter display / app weekly — a sudden drop usually means shading or a tripped MCB.
- Trim new tree growth that shades panels after 10 AM.
- Inspect cables and connectors before monsoon for cracks or bird damage.
- Earthing check once a year — resistance should be below 5 ohms.
- Keep the generation log in the UPPower app; our AMC team uses it to catch underperformance early.
UPPower's free 5-year AMC includes two professional cleanings per year and an annual electrical health check.
